This project involved a complete redesign and redevelopment of the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce’s website. Collaborating closely with the development team, I led the design process and contributed to the implementation, transforming an outdated government site into a modern, user-friendly digital platform. My responsibilities included user research, wireframing, and creating high-fidelity designs, as well as hands-on work in front-end development to bring the new vision to life. I focused on improving navigation, accessibility, and visual appeal, ensuring that key information—such as news, events, and agency resources—was easy to find and engaging to interact with. Challenges & Solutions: A major challenge was restructuring a large volume of content to make it intuitive and accessible for a diverse audience. I addressed this by introducing a clear layout, consistent branding, and responsive design, while also optimizing performance for faster load times and a seamless mobile experience. Target Audience: The site serves Jamaican entrepreneurs, business owners, and the general public seeking government services, as well as Ministry staff who manage content updates. Client Impact: The new website not only modernized the Ministry’s online presence but also made it easier for users to access resources, stay informed, and connect with agencies. The result is a professional, accessible, and efficient platform that supports the Ministry’s mission to drive economic growth and business development in Jamaica.
